SP23 (W9): Full Bloom

Dear CSA Members + Farm Community,

It’s the first week of May, and the mild temperatures and consistent, light rain mean that everything is popping right now! We’ve hundreds of lettuce heads ready to harvest, spinach leaves the size of my hand, strawberries seeming to ripen as we’re picking, and even the start of some of our early summer fruiting crops- say hello to cucumbers and zucchini!

We’re in the 9th week of our spring CSA season, which means that we’re almost to the summer season. If you’re paying weekly for a share, you’ll automatically be enrolled in the summer season unless you decide to stop. If you paid up front for your share, be sure to enroll for the next 12 weeks here! You won’t wanna miss it- it’ll be tomato season before you know it!

We’re excited to let y’all know that, thanks to one very generous donor, we have enough funds to cover two reduced-price shares for the summer season! We’d love to keep this going- if you want to get on the list for a discounted share, fill out this form. If you want to share the harvest with your community, consider donating here.

If you’re looking for some new and exciting things to do to kick off your summer fruits season, get excited for cucumber salad, refrigerator pickles, and zucchini tacos! Or, if you’re looking for some serious comfort food, make Ina Garten’s zucchini gratin (and plan to take a nap after eating it).

Happy eating!
