SP23 (W6): Springtime Milestones

Dear CSA Members + Farm Community,

We’re quick approaching and surpassing some springtime milestones on the farm: nearly all of the beds on the farm are planted out, indoor tomatoes have received their first round of trellising, outdoor tomatoes are in the ground, strawberry harvest is growing with every pick.

You’ll still be seeing plenty of salad greens, carrots, radishes, and other sturdy, early spring standbys, but on the farm, summer looks about ready to begin.

This week is also the halfway point of our spring CSA season! Thanks so much to our CSA members for sticking with us through the technical hiccups and learning curves as we figure this out. We appreciate you! Summer season starts immediately after the spring season ends at the end of May, so keep an eye out for more info, and for those shares to go on sale!

You’ll be seeing strawberries in your share and at market again this week! I usually eat a pint before I get back to my house, but if you have more self control than I do, try roasting your berries! If you’re feeling more savory this week, check out this grated carrot salad with feta and harissa, or this baby mustard salad.

Happy eating!
