A Busy Winter Makes a Bountiful Spring

Dear Farm Community -

We’re beginning the long and labor-intensive process of clearing out all the old warm weather plantings (goodbye old tomato and squash plants!) and making way for our big plan-ahead crops like garlic, onions, and spring flowers. We had a BIG tulip planting week recently and got 30,000 bulbs in the ground! Thats a lot of flowers! Through teamwork, coordination, and a lot of elbow grease we hand-placed every bulb to ensure that it sprouts in the right direction and has the proper spacing for its variety. No small feat! You can see a fun time-lapse video of us in action on our IG page.

As a reminder for our lovely market customers, we will continue to be at Freedom and Morningside Farmers Markets in Atlanta year round, but will be taking a short break in Athens for the winter. We have just one more Athens market left this year, on December 16th! Worry not though, we will be back at both the Wednesday and Saturday Athens Farmers Markets in the Spring.

If you’ll miss us dearly during the winter months, or just love keeping up with farm life, worry not! Our newsletter will continue to be sent out every Monday, and you can check out our Instagram for even more farm shenanigans.

Sign-ups for Spring CSA should go live sometime in January so say posted!
