Holy moly, week 10?? Time flies when you’re eatin’ good! We truly hope you have been enjoying following along as the farm traverses this spring season. To our beloved CSA members, we hope you have enjoyed the bounty and diversity in your farm shares - there’s much more to come! We have had a wonderful time growing and putting it all together for you. As we approach the end of the Spring Season (May 30th), we are pleased share an announcement !!!!!

Our Full-Season Summer CSA Shares are now live! This is a fantastic option for those of you who want to get a discount on your boxes and ensure your weekly share with a one-and-done payment. You’ll see the familiar $25 and $35 veggie box options as well as the $15 flower share on there, but NEW this summer is EGGS! We will be offering organic pasture-raised eggs from Smyly Farms available to add on. Smyly Farms is a first-generation organic pasture-raised poultry farm just outside of Atlanta. We really admire their farming practices and are stoked to be able to offer their pasture-raised, high-quality, ethically-farmed, nutritious and delicious eggs. These come in at just $9/week, beating out the prices of pasture-raised eggs you’d find at the grocery store! Weekly-pay members and those of you who signed up for all 3 seasons at the beginning of the year, you too will have the opportunity to add eggs to your share! Beginning the last week of May we will add “weekly-pay eggs” to our shop which will allow you to sign up for an egg subscription that will be packed along with your share. Folks will also be able to sign up for a standalone egg subscription without having a veggie or flower share if they would like. We will make an announcement via the newsletter and our instagram page when weekly-pay eggs go live on the website :)

There’s also a special day approaching! Sunday May 12th is MOTHER’S DAY! For those of you looking for that home-run gift - why settle for one bouquet when you could gift your mama the full summer season flower share? It’s an awesome and affordable option to keep the love flowing all summer long, with over 25 different varieties of flowers coming into bloom over the summer months - favorites like cosmos, carnations, and marigolds, and some cool hidden gems like lisianthus, scabiosa, and eryngium. The full summer flower share is just $185 for 13 weeks of blooms. Did I mention we offer home delivery in the Athens area? Check out all the options on our website (and hey, maybe she’s more of a veggie CSA kinda mom)

Back at the farm things have been getting steamy, with warmer weather and a few full days of rain last week. The plants are absolutely loving it though, and our cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes are looking like they’ll be producing before the end of the Spring CSA session!

Shares this week are full of delicious snack-ables, with strawberries and carrots in all shares, plus sugar snap peas in the large shares! All boxes will contain rainbow chard, a delicious green (and red and pink and yellow….) that cooks up into an easy side for your dinner main - or sauté it for breakfast with a fried egg on top! It’s a wonderfully yummy and healthy way to start your morning :)
